Abstract

This article proposes a method for researching the local press, within the framework of
the Simple Structural Approach (SSA), which in academia is known as the Structure of Information. It is based on two fundamental premises: first, the historical perspective and the context are essential to understand an event and, second, derived from that, the proponent of the SSA aims to study what underlies the event. The results of this research respond to the different sections that follow this summary. They mark the path to follow in the research of the local press phenomenon and range from a brief description of the methodological school we follow to the diversification of the local press, passing through the conceptual framework and the contexts in a deductive procedure.
