Objective and scope
Historia Caribe, founded in 1995, is an academic journal of the History Program at the Universidad del Atlántico, Barranquilla, Colombia. Indexed in Scopus, Redalyc, and DOAJ, open access, it promotes historiographical debate and new trends in the discipline.
It is a biannual publication specializing in original historical topics on the history of Colombia and its regions, Latin America, and the Caribbean, as well as academic reflections related to historical studies, through which it contributes to regional, national, and international historical knowledge.
To guarantee the quality of published works, they are previously subject to a process of internal and external peer review and evaluation, carried out by national and international specialists.
Due to its rigor and dissemination, it has positioned itself as the most important specialized history journal in the Colombian Caribbean region. This editorial project aims to promote historical knowledge in the region and the country. The journal keeps its pages open to historiographical debate and new trends in the disciplines.
