Artisans represent an invaluable source of entrepreneurship that transcends economic boundaries and reaches the heart of national identity. Despite being active agents in promoting culture, they lack a full identification of their entrepreneurial capabilities from their perspective as entrepreneurs, which hinders their ability to navigate the market effectively. This study aims to analyze the entrepreneurial capabilities of artisans in the city of Barranquilla, Colombia, by applying a theoretical model that identifies four key dimensions for entrepreneurship: social networking, personal realization, creativity, and planning. The study employs a quantitative approach, framed within a positivist paradigm and descriptive design, using an instrument designed by Mavila et al. (2009) in a Likert scale administered to a total of 80 artisans to assess their entrepreneurial capabilities across the aforementioned dimensions. Among the four evaluated capabilities, personal realization and planning were identified as the most prominent within this artisan community, suggesting strong potential for personal and strategic development within entrepreneurship. This research emphasizes the need to foster the development of entrepreneurial capabilities among artisans, as this would not only strengthen their economic activity but also contribute to the cultural richness of the region. Identifying and enhancing these capabilities is essential for artisans to face the challenges of the current market while preserving and promoting the cultural identity of their community.
