PERFIL DEL FILÓSOFO DE LA ILUSTRACIÓN FRANCESA (¿COMO EL PERFIL DEL FILÓSOFO LATINOAMERICANO?)

Resumen

El texto que sigue se dedica, casi en su totalidad, a describir los rasgos característicos de varios de los pensadores pertenecientes al siglo XVIII francés, época, movimiento, tendencia que ha sido denominada Filosofía de la Ilustración, Siglo de la luces, Edad de la razón. Se trata aquí, principalmente, de mostrar el perfil de un tipo de filósofo considerado en su época como en contravía del tipo de filósofo que podemos llamar tradicional.

ABSTRACT

The following text, almost in its totality, attempts to describe the traits of several French thinkers that belonged to the XVIII century. That time, that movement, that tendency has been named the Philosophy of the Illustration, The Age of Enlightment, The Age of Reason. Mainly, the text tries to present the profile of a type of philosopher that was considered, during his time, as an opposite of what we can call a traditional philosopher.
