A Amauta magazine, of the Research Group that carries his name, endorsed, recognized and categorized by Colciencias, is a periodical publication of six-monthly character for the publication of original scientific works; likewise, it is a space for the diffusion of articles of theoretical reflection and bibliographical review, registered in the wide field of the Social and Human Sciences. Its aim is to contribute to the consolidation of an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary dialogue with the other sciences, guided by the motto "everything human is ours".

As a space for academic and scientific dissemination, it will always advocate for the cultivation of high quality standards, promoting inter-institutional exchange and cooperation to encourage the dissemination of researchers' work, stimulate intellectual production, and exchange successful experiences in the promotion of scientific knowledge, always with the teleological perspective of the well-being and happiness of life in society.

Types of articles  

In order to meet the scientific quality criteria required by the Editorial Board of Amauta magazine, articles may be 

Scientific and technological research articles. A document that presents, in a detailed manner, the original results of completed research projects. The structure generally used contains four important sections: introduction, methodology, results and conclusions.

Reflection article. A document that presents the results of completed research from an analytical, interpretative or critical perspective of the author, on a specific topic, using original sources.

Review article. A document resulting from finished research where the results of published or unpublished research on a field in science or technology are analyzed, systematized and integrated in order to report on the progress and development trends. It is characterized by a careful bibliographic review of at least 50 references.

Short article. A short document that presents preliminary or partial original results of a scientific or technological research, which generally requires a prompt diffusion.

Case report. Document that presents the results of a study on a particular situation in order to publicize the technical and methodological experiences considered in a specific case. It includes a commented systematic review of the literature on similar cases.

Topic review. Document resulting from the critical review of the literature on a particular topic.

Review: a brief writing that informs and at the same time values a work or a cultural product; its fundamental characteristic is to describe and to emit a valuation judgment in favour or against.

Letters to the editor. Critical, analytical or interpretative positions on the documents published in the journal, which in the opinion of the Editorial Committee constitute an important contribution to the discussion of the topic by the scientific community of reference.

Editorial Document written by the editor, a member of the editorial committee or a guest researcher on orientations in the thematic domain of the journal.

Translation. Translations of classic or current texts or transcriptions of historical documents or documents of particular interest in the journal's publishing field.

If the article does not fall into any of the categories established by the journal or does not meet the formal submission requirements, it will be returned to its author, who may resubmit it to the editor when the requirements are met. The Editorial Committee gives priority to the publication of research articles.

Editorial process: The manuscripts sent by the authors are revised by the editorial committee and in a period no longer than 20 days the results of this evaluation will be informed; if the answer is affirmative, they are submitted to a revision process by two peers or referees, outside the editorial committee, experts in the field. 

Specifications 

The articles sent to Amauta magazine must be unpublished and the original Word file must be written at one and a half spaces (including references), in Times New Roman or Arial font, size 12 and its length must not exceed 25 pages. Articles will be received in Spanish and English.

The first page of the article must contain:

Title of the article, no longer than 12 words. (In Spanish and English)

Full name of the author(s).

At the bottom of the author's name you should specify: academic titles and institutional affiliation, position currently held, main address, city, country and e-mail address.

At the bottom of the title page of the article you should indicate: funding source of the project from which the article is submitted (if applicable), grants and support received
